The National Cat Management Strategy Group paper, submitted in September 2016, proposes a supposed ‘strategy’ for the management of cats in New Zealand.

The NCMSG presented their  key recommendations to the New Zealand Companion Animal Council (NZCAC) Conference. They also want to present them to the Government before the end of 2016 and  their goals  have been explained rather nebulously in the following  press release:

So far (15/11/2016) however, there has been neither the promised consultation nor any collaboration between NCMSG and many other interested parties like us. Therefore we have the impression that the real intention of the group is to confront the public with accomplished facts.
